Thrush...

Tana and I both have Thrush. This is not fun for either of us, but worse for Tana as it effects how comfortable she is while eating. I'm hoping her medicine kicks in quickly. In addition to Thrush I think I'm now coming down with a yeast infection. Oh joy! I am looking forward to Tana's one month appointment tomorrow to see how big she is. Corey and I both think she has put on a couple of pounds since her last visit. She is getting sooooo big.

First Bottle

Tana had her first bottle today. Breast milk of course! She took it surprisingly well from daddy. We now have to keep it up a few times a week so that we have an easy transition when she goes to daycare. Also, I might be nice to be able to give her a bottle if we are stuck in traffic in the car or something, but that remains to be seen. I'm wondering how I'm going to be able to pump enough milk to have a good supply in the freezer before going back to work. I guess it can be done as tons of women do it. I'm going to try to keep this more up-to-date not that Tana isn't as much of a handful. ;-)

Day 16

Tana had a good day today. She is becoming more alert everyday. Also, except for waking up to eat, she slept through the night with no fussy times. :) We'll see how tomorrow night goes. I think Corey and I are both getting so comfortable staying home with baby Tana it is going to be hard to go back to work.

Tana's Hearing test

Tana had her hearing test today at the hospital. This is something they usually do shortly after birth, however, since we didn't deliver at the hospital we had to make a special appointment to do it. Tana passed! The whole process is quite fascinating. it is done with three little sensors, and little cups over their ears. I don't know all the scientific stuff behind it, I'm sure Corey could explain it all to you. Tana slept through the whole process.

After her hearing test we ventured to Target and Whole Foods. Tana slept thorough both, but started crying hysterically on the way home. I couldn't handle it so I made Corey stop so that I could nurse her. I wonder if I'll ever be able to hear her cry without freaking out?

Tana had a rough night. Daddy kept her soothed for a couple of hours so that I could get some sleep. These 3 hour fussy sessions are hard on Mommy, Daddy and Tana.
